Technical Support Specialist Wuhan

Behr GmbH & Co KG is one of the world’s leading suppliers of automotive air conditioning and engine cooling products for passenger cars and trucks. Worldwide they achieved a turnover of about 3.05 billion Euro in 2004 and they employ about 17000 people worldwide.

In China they have besides their APAC HQ, 3 JV’s in Shanghai (2) and Wuhan (1) for the development, production and marketing of their products.

Position

The Technical Support Specialist will be based in their JV in Wuhan where they produce radiators, engine cooling modules and HVAC systems for trucks and passenger cars.

This person will support the APAC HQ to implement the company’s general and technical know-how in the JV’s.

He/she will:
- Develop project plans consistent with the company’s business strategy and cost/quality objectives
- Be responsible for customer communication and coordination: give necessary technical information and coordinate with the necessary departments in order to understand the specific requirements of the customer and to be able to assess the manufacturability and costs.
- Be responsible for the internal communication and coordination with other Behr key departments in order to meet the customer requirements.
- Give technical training/new product training to sales & technical staff in the JV and the customers so they develop the necessary technical understanding of the products.

In this position he/she will report directly to the Chief Representative of the APAC HQ.

He/she will get the opportunity to go to Germany to be trained in Behr’s state of the art products and project management systems.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years experience with automotive engines or related components
- Strong project management skills and experience with delivering projects on time and on budget
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Degree in Engineering
- Fluent Mandarin/English.
- Stable employment record
- Potential to lead a team in the future
