Cold Winter Meeting: HBMUOAA Alumni Party

Well, even though the weather was not cooperating, the turnout to the party was still impressive. It seems that we are going to have the "cold winter" party on an annual basis.

Hi, everyone,

I would like to have this opportunity to thank you all for your nominations for our new HBMUOAA officials. Few things that I would like to mention here are as following: First of all, we had our HBMUOAA alumni party successful on Jan. 2. with about 20 alumni members showing up even though the weatherman's broadcasting was scaring. Dr. Zhi-Min Li, the First Secretary from Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. attended our party. Dr. Shuiqing Ye, Assistant Professor at John Hopkins University, was selected to be our President-elect based on our alumni's nomination during the party. The remaining other nominees have been passed to Dr. Ke Ren, Assistant Professor at University of Maryland Dental School and our present President, for consideration of his new HBMUOAA officials. We also decided at this party to short each term from two years to one year. This will allow more alumni members in future to have a chance to serve for our alumni Association.
