Dear alumni,

Sorry that I forgot to enclose two items in yesterday's email. I now
include them together with the other items.

1. As you may have noticed, our web service was unaccessible for about
two weeks between August-September. This was due to the failure of an
aging machine in Wisconsion that had been serving us for nearly 7 years.
It's now been replaced by a new machine and up running.

2. For the past month, the realtime update of alumni information and alumni
forum have been on and off. It will eventually be offline due to network
restrictions imposed here, may be within the next one or two months. If we
could not find another machine to do that job, we will have to revert to
the old fashioned way, i.e. fill form online but the processing will be
delayed. If you can help find a machine to do that job (preferably running
unix), that would be great).

3. Zhong Shen told me that Dr. YE Gang (gye @ saicmodis . com) is trying to
organize a new Wuda alumni association in DC area, which includes all
4 schools that make up the new Wuda.

4. Information about DC Hubei Fellow Association's activity on Sept. 28.
Please see enclosement at the end. (sorry that the Chinese characters are
not readable. I received it from Zhong Shen that way).

5. The Neuroscience meeting will be held in November in Orlando, Florida.
I know some of you will attend that meeting. If you are interested in having
a gathering, please contact me. I will be there that Monday, and maybe
Tuesday too.
